Competitions
fit2cook runs the hugely popular Create and Cook competition which aims to
inspire secondary school children to develop their cooking skills using locally
sourced produce.
The competition encourages entrants to design a two course menu with ingredients
from local farm shops, farmers markets and even their own allotments. Over the
years we have discovered some very talented young cooks who have created new
exciting recipes using good local food.
The Create and Cook competition is sponsored by The Southern Co-operative with the support of
Lainston House Hotel, Hampshire Fare, Hampshire Farmers Markets, Hampshire
County Council and Newlyns Farm Cookery School.
