fit2cook food education

fit2cook runs food education projects for children of all ages promoting healthy eating. We have worked in over 200 schools helping them bring cooking back into the classroom. We also work with pre-schools, children’s centres and run hands on activities at shows and local food festivals across the south of England.

fit2cook’s aim is to get children cooking, showing them simple ways to eat well. But we also want young cooks to think about where their food comes from. We are passionate about using local ingredients and this has inspired us to set up the Create and Cook competition. This yearly event has proved hugely popular for young cooks in secondary schools who have created menus featuring local ingredients.

Find out about what we do in our workshops, training and events. Have a look at our recipes and keep up to date with our news. Have a look at our videos which show young cooks in action having lots of fun with real food!
